Intergenerational Communication: Engaging a Multi-Generational Workforce
Does your staff include Baby Boomers? Generation Xers? How about Silents and Generation Yers? Each generation has a unique work ethic, different perspectives on work, distinct preferred ways of being managed, idiosyncratic styles, and unique ways of viewing such work-world issues as quality, service and attendance. Bringing clarity to four distinct ways of viewing the world provides an understanding between generations and open dialogue for mentorship and succession planning. False conclusions and misguided preconceptions about a particular generation can negatively influence how employees interact, often resulting in reduced productivity and increased turnover.
This workshop examines the generations in today's workplace and explores what an organization can do to create a work climate that motivates, satisfies, and engages the talents of every employee.
