Congratulations to Misti Burmeister of
Washington, D.C., formerly of Weld County.
Burmeister is a 2005 recipient of the eWomen
Network's prestigious International Femtor Award for Emerging
Leaders.
She will be awarded on July 14 at the 2005
Fifth Anniversary eWomenNetwork International Conference &
Business Expo on July 14-17 in Dallas.
Burmeister, 27, will also be recognized at
the ceremony, receive round-trip airfare to the conference, a
hotel room for three nights, tickets to other eWomen's Network
events, $200 extra spending money, and a one year membership to
eWomenNetwork.
She graduated from Valley High School in
Gilcrest and is the daughter of Jim and Eileen Burmeister, also
formerly of Weld County. She completed two undergraduate degrees
in kinesiology and psychology and a master's degree in human
communication at the University of Northern Colorado. She is the
President of Inspirion, in the metropolitan Washington, D.C.
area and is an expert on leadership and youth empowerment. With
more than eight years of experience on developing and
implementing leadership curricula, motivational speaking, and
life/business coaching, Burmeister provides leadership
strategies for individuals, companies, associations, government
and educational institutions.
Her success comes from her roots.
" My parents -- they taught me the value of
generosity, persistence, patience, honesty, loyalty and
genuineness," she said in a prepared statement.
The award category is reserved for women who
are in their 20s and who are in the process of launching
successful careers.
Here's another former Weld County gal who is
