Randy Schools, President of NIH-NOAA Recreation and Welfare Association
Randy Schools has served as the President of NIH-NOAA Recreation and Welfare Association since 1978. In that capacity, he oversees a non-profit that provides employees of the National Institutes of Health and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration with a variety of social, athletic, wellness, educational and special interest activities. NIH-NOAA has 6 Gift Shops, 3 Fitness Centers, Thirty-two Recreational Clubs, Newsletter, 30 Special Events per year. The NIH-NOAA generates over two million a year. Additionally NIH-NOAA raises funds and provide guidance to Children's Inn at NIH, Special Love-Camp Fantastic, and Friends of the Clinical Center.
Mr. Schools utilizes a staff of 30, plus hundred's of volunteers. Additionally he oversees www.recgov.org and a newspaper Recreation News which is distributed to military bases, and government agencies in the Baltimore-Washington Region.
