His experience also includes numerous arbitrations and mediations, particularly with respect to construction and other contract-based disputes. Ken’s most notable cases include obtaining relief on behalf of a financial insurer that resulted in a corporate issuer of insured bonds paying $25 million of insured bond principal; resolving a case of tenant holdover on behalf of a commercial landlord that resulted in the payment of over $150,000 more than the landlord had originally sought, together with attorneys’ fees; achieving over $2 million in settlements on behalf of a client against property and casualty insurers for the client’s contribution to the clean up of a Superfund site; and enjoining, on behalf of a natural gas pipeline client, the enforcement of regulations of the Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission that required the (potentially devastating) disclosure of private contract terms. Ken received his law degree from Georgetown University in 1985, where he edited and contributed to the American Criminal Law Review.
